IMPORTANT:

THIS IS NOT LIKE ANY OTHER BOAT APPEARANCE PRODUCT. FOR BEST RESULTS, READ THE DIRECTIONS BELOW AND FOLLOW THEM CAREFULLY. DO NOT US RUBBING COMPOUND.

PREPARATION:

CLEAN SURFACE THOROUGHLY, remove oxidation, grease, oil, stains, etc. with mild abrasive and/or strong detergent. When surface is dry, make sure oxidation and residue is removed. Keep in mind that whatever is on the surface will be sealed in after applying NEW GLASSTM. If above does not remove enough oxidation, scrubbing with 800 grit wet/dry or finer is recommended.

APPLICATION:

Start with a clean, wax free surface and make sure surface is thoroughly dry. Apply in an area that is as dust free as possible. If outdoors, be sure to apply on a day that is not so windy that dust and dirt are blown on the surface during application. Surface to be 50 to 95 degrees fahrenheit, and not hot to touch. May be applied in direct sunlight.

RUBBER GLOVES ARE RECOMMENDED. Pour a small amount of NEW GLASSTM in a shallow container, saturate applicator with NEW GLASSTM and wring almost dry. Hold applicator flat to surface and apply slowly with long straight strokes. Avoid going over same area with a second stroke until dry. Don't worry about slight streaking or disappearance during the first applications. Drying time should not be more than 30 to 40 seconds. WE STRESS THIN MULTIPLE APPLICATIONS. MINIMUM OF 4 COATS.

Product totally cures in 24 hours.
Avoid sodium hydroxide based cleaners.
Avoid ammonia based cleaners.

Treat your restored fiberglass as you would any gelcoat - using boat shoes to avoid scratches. Should any occur, NEW GLASSTM may be touched up and colour differences will blend within a week.

NOTE: On bottle directions.



  • If foaming occurs, reduce pressure on the applicator. Too much product on the applicator causes foaming.

  • REMOVE DRIPS AND SPLASHES WITH WATER IMMEDIATELY WHILE PRODUCT IS STILL WET.
  • DO NOT APPLY ON GLASS.

  • Avoid contact with window cleaners or detergents containing ammonia.

  • Keep rain off fiberglass for several hours.

  • If rain hits the fiberglass a few hours after the NEW GLASSTM application, remove water spots by allowing it to dry completely. Then wash, rinse and gently wipe dry. If water spotting persists, scrub with an abrasive cleaner and reapply another thin coat of NEW GLASSTM.

  • The coating will last many months. There should be no need for wax. (If desired, however, any was polish can be applied after one month.)

  • NEW GLASSTM will cover oxidation but will not remove or blend uneven oxidation.
  • DO NOT USE ON REPAINTED FIBERGLASS FOR 6-12 MONTHS.

  • When NEW GLASSTM does not have enough coats applied, a rainbow type of coloration may occur and may look streaky.

  • To keep applicator fresh, place in a "Tupper-ware" type dish or "Ziplock" bag.
